The flag of Malaysia, also known as the Jalur Gemilang ("Stripes of Glory"), comprises a field of 14 alternating red and white stripes along the fly and a blue canton bearing a crescent and a 14-point star known as the Bintang Persekutuan or Federal Star. The 14 stripes, of equal width, represent the equal status in the federation of the 13 member states and the federal government, while the 14 points of the star represent the unity between these entities. The crescent represents Islam, the country's official religion; the blue canton symbolizes the unity of the Malaysian people; the yellow of the star and crescent is the royal colour of the Malay rulers.[1] In blazon, the Malaysian flag is described as: "A banner Gules, seven bars Argent; the canton Azure charged with decrescent and mullet of fourteen points Or." This means "a red flag with seven horizontal white stripes; the upper-left (hoist) quarter is blue with a yellow waning crescent (i.e. horns pointing to sinister) and a yellow 14-pointed star." A creative modification on the picture by Mr. Ujang (Lensfreak/Kaizer-Art) from SOAD, Ikip College. The picture is originally taken by using handphone Sony Ericsson W 905....
My intention was to shoot the picture of the popular Masjid Shah Alam (during night) from my hotel room (level 9) of Concorde Shah Alam. Using Olympus mu 9000, 12 m.p
nowadays, almost every one of us using a handphone to make call, to listen to the music, to surf internet and also to take picture!
what is best about handphone camera is it is easy to play with (the colour of the picture taken).... you can have it in natural colour, vivid colour (the most clear and vibrant), sephia (old look, browny) and also black and white. this feature may not easy to use by using digital camera...
additionally, everybody brings their handphone everyday, not a camera (unless you are camera lover, pros etc).
so... why wait, just take a snap of your pictures using your handphone anywhere, anytime, any occasion.... enjoy!
Assalamualaikum..
